Daher first originated under the company name Socata. Socata was a French based manufacturer located in Tarbes, France. In November 2008, Daher had reached an agreement to acquire 70% of Socata (EADS Socata). Later in June 2014, Daher ended up taking full ownership and around March 2015 dropped the EADS / Socata name completely.
