The Cessna Citation Sovereign (C680) is a super mid-size jet that was announced in 1998 at the NBAA Convention. Deliveries commenced in September of 2004. By the end of 2009, Cessna had delivered approximately 250 aircraft. FAA certification was also achieved in 2004 with EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) Part 145 approval / certification being achieved in April of 2005.
As the year 2012 approached, The Sovereign Plus (+) was announced at the 2012 NBAA convention. It received FAA certification in December 2013 and began deliveries a little later that month, just before the end of the year. The Sovereign+ included upgrades to the aircraft range, winglets, engines, avionics and more. (1)

Performance
After the upgrade in 2013, the Citation Sovereign+ was equipped with Pratt & Whitney Canada PW306D turbofans with approximately 5,907 lbs of thrust each. While having a maximum range of approximately 2,730 nautical miles on the Sovereign. The Plus adds to that, for a maximum range of around 3,200 nautical miles.
In terms of maximum cruise speed, this aircraft can reach approximately Mach 0.69, while it’s maximum cruise altitude is near 47,000 ft. The maximum take off weight (MTOW) found on the Sovereign+ is 30,775 lbs. Which is an upgrade from the previous model, which had a MTOW of 30,300 lbs. (2)
Interior
With the ability to seat up to 12 passengers in a standard configuration. The cabin on this aircraft measures 5 ft 8″ tall, 5 ft 6″ wide and 25 ft 3″ in length. The baggage compartment is split with an internal and external area of storage. The internal compartment can hold approximately 35 ft³ of storage. While the external heated compartment can hold up to 100 ft³.
The avionics on the Sovereign Plus was upgraded from the Honeywell Primus Epic flight management system to the Garmin G5000 avionics suite. The all-glass flight deck includes 4 touch screen control panels, along with Garmin Synthetic Vision Technology (SVT), fully integrated autothrottles, flight management system (FMS) and more. (3)
